Type Electives Lecture Series: Designing with Criticality & Love

This is a series of lectures that invite new and established voices to share their stories, knowledge, and ideas with the community. This spring, we’re inviting artists and designers to share with us how they approach their practice from a place of criticality and love.

In this session, you’ll learn from David Jon Walker his methods for driving his works and where he finds inspiration for his lettering works. During this talk, David will share motivations and sources that help him craft a tone of emotive directions while deploying textures and other elements to generate thought provoking type driven imagery.

Each talk will be about 30–45 mins long followed by a short Q&A.
